The EPA has made it very clear that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Sure, we all know that cigarette smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. but when you light a cigarette you know what you are doing. With radon the facts are scary. You can not see, smell, taste or hear when radon is invading your home and placing you and your family in harms way.

How long does it take before radon can cause cancer in your body or lungs? Does it really matter how long it takes? The fact is, radon poisoning is absolutely avoidable and preventable. Doctors and the EPA are sure that if you are a smoker your chance of developing lung cancer with the help of radon is much greater.

Because radon breaks down in the soil the most likely entrance into your home is via cracks or holes in the basement or foundation. Yet the truth remains radon can get into the home in many ways. Only by testing will you know of a radon problem.
